Thunderstorms were noted in central Iowa Thursday afternoon, and severe weather bulletins were in effect for eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. The rest of the main U.S. crop areas were dry. Temperatures ranged from the upper 50s in northeastern Minnesota to 106 in western Oklahoma. 100s dominates the southwestern Plains, while Midwest readings were mainly in the 70s and 80s. » More DTN Weather Commentary
